Une périphérie urbaine hivernale. Une jeune femme, à un tournant de sa vie, évolue dans un environnement aseptisé. Il est question de procédures : sanitaires, funéraires, aussi. Elle semble parée pour une lutte secrète, telle un samouraï des temps présents. Mais son combat, intérieur, consiste à laisser affleurer les sentiments, à convoquer les émotions véritables dans un cadre protocolaire exsangue. Alors, comme autant de talismans, elle convoque les figures d’êtres chers, cristallisant des instants de tendresse ou de cruautés quotidiennes.

Graduated in filmmaking at the University of Paris 8, Camille Degeye joined the associative lab L'abominable where she trained as a self-taught analogue filmmaker. Her previous three films have been shown in international festivals such as BISFF Busan, EIFF Edinburgh or JCC Tunis and awarded in France and Italy. In 2019, she directed her fourth short film “Journey through a body” selected at the 58th Cannes’ Critic’s week and the first part of a diptych completed with “Almost a kiss”, which she directed in 2022. She is currently preparing her first feature film, “Sphinx" , Prix Next Step 2020 awarded by Cannes’ Critic’s Week.
