Karaoke might be one of human kind's finer coping mechanisms for dealing-not-dealing with one's emotions, by sharing them through song selection and then singing (aka screaming) the lyrics being shown on a screen with A LOT of bravado, dedication, tears, drama, you name it.
You can do karaoke with your besties, your colleagues, your grandmother, even with your ex(es). The important part is to do it in public, to be seen and heard – unlike by aforementioned ex(es) – and to fully embrace any embarrassment that might come up.

And who else to host this shared catharsis than the beloved Belgian collective that aren't scared of a few tears on the dance floor, HE4RTBROKEN? Resident djs Liyo, Steff, Munix and ssaliva have been exploring the full range of emotional music, together with some kindred-spirited guests, since 2015 with parties in Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, Shanghai and on NTS with their monthly show. They're coming back to Beursschouwburg for a new round of their one of a kind karaoke nights.
