about

Francesca Hawker
Francesca Hawker (born 1992, UK) is an artist and performer living in Brussels. She works across the fields of performance, poetry, installation, music and self-publishing. She often works collaboratively within the “slapstick of ordinary relation”, defined by Lauren Berlant as a way of “trying to stay in the same enough conversation in order to build something together that neither of us could build by ourselves." She is currently a PhD candidate and teacher at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent, where she is researching the role played by embarrassment in performance frameworks.

Leonie Buysse
Performing artist (and co-host of Spa for Spirits) Leonie Buysse is your ultimate waitress Leonie B. She's been serving longer than you've been alive, swiftly zigzagging between tables to ensure you get exactly what you ordered, right before you even finish thinking about it. She always smiles, speaks softly and never eavesdrops on your private thoughts. She’s just genuinely good for the job! And yes, that box hanging off her hip? That's not for tips. It's the "Juicy Request & Remark" chute. Drop your wildest ideas, your complaints, or your secrets in there. If it fits in the slot, Leonie hears it. Slurpo a te!

The individual has declined to share their name, their origin, or any record of their past. Whether there is anything to hide remains unclear. There are no confirmed achievements, no verifiable experience - only traces of activity that suggest a life lived elsewhere, under vague conditions. In recent years, they have been engaged in matters they prefer not to describe, following directions that remain hazy. Their current state is unknown, as is the manner of their arrival.
And yet, they will be present, taking care of you, attentive to your comfort and well-being.

Table Dance
Initiated by cook Michelle Woods and musician Roman Hiele, Table Dance was a restaurant and event space rooted in Antwerp. More aptly described as a practice than a venue, Table Dance now continues to operate nomadically as an ever-evolving body, although the duo officially celebrated its funeral at KVS in 2023. Table Dance made a name as providers of fine food, drinks, and entertainment. Existing far away from any standards, their practice consists of a hybrid mix of cuisine, music, performance, and scenography cherishing freedom, creativity, and collective quality time above all. Table Dance has worked closely with artist residency Morpho and was in residence at Muhka. (Text by Anne-Claire Schmitz)
