Two duos, two new tapes, lots of new music to fall in love to with your internet crush, with your inner demons, or with another angel in the ever efervescent crowd of this Brussels avant-garde label.
At one of Brussels warmest art collectives Canapé, MONTAGE has been working on collaborative residencies: inviting two artists that might not know each other to work together for 10 days on new music. Open endings are encouraged and embraced!
The two duos that resulted from this marvelous adventure are JS Donny & tibslc and Pitcha & o0ryxss. Both duos now present a tape: one classic split release, one full of collaborative compositions. And all will be unveiled tonight, officially launching the two new tape releases on MONTAGE!

Two hyperpop princesses bring blissed shoegaze from the future. Working with a wide array of instrumentation ranging from slammed guitars to delicate flutes, everything is processed and sounddesigend in a digital realm of glitches and synthwashes. They will perform this new material together in a livesetting developed specifically for this project. As such they will be bringing us a perspective not only in their way of working, but also in their new-found understanding for eachother.

Local death folk hero Js Donny gets embraced by tibslc's delicate post-internet-ambient. Harsh guitars collide with gentle vocal processing. Subtle bass meets washes of noise and heartpiercing screams get lost in sampledelic metamusick. We are enormously looking forward to this Leipzig-meets-Brussels collaboration of two magic fairies lost in the digital realm.

aloisius
aloisius is an improvisation based artist & curator of sounds & happenings, as well as the founder of the gesamtkunstwerk: life is beautiful. Via life is beautiful, he frequently organises diy happenings across London, showcasing various artists from various art forms such as: performance art, poetry, music, dance/movement & visual arts. Over the past 10 years aloisius has been prolifically performing, organising performances, creating art and facilitating the creation of art in various ways. He usually brings a cello and sometimes trumpet, sometimes guitar. His music has been described as ‘Crisp, chaotic and unashamedly euphoric’ (‘vernacular’ review, Boomkat).
