Every end is a new beginning, many beginnings also mean the end, and sometimes it's all of that at the same time.
The OUT of LOVE closing night kicks off with the opening of the Mothers & Daughters expo, which will run for a week until their goodbye weekend "Last Call" (more info soon).

Mothers & Daughters, MUST GO! will bring together objects, ephemera and images from the past nine years of our organising of spaces and events for trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and lesbian people in Brussels. Expect some familiar objects and materials, echoes of the communities who made Mothers & Daughters possible, and glimpses into behind-the-scenes moments – come and reminisce with us!
During the exhibition, invited queers will activate objects, ephemera and images with stories and annecotes. Dates and times to be announced closer to the opening.

In 2017, Mothers & Daughters emerged from a series of events hosted by Girls Like Us magazine as a lesbian (and since 2019 also explicitly a trans) bar and art space. Since then, Mothers & Daughters – A Lesbian* and Trans* Bar* has been creating community spaces for trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and lesbian people in and around Brussels. Now, after nine incredible years—spanning four ephemeral bar appearances, two exhibitions, two signature brews and an epic array of workshops, festivals and events—our journey is coming to a close.
