Jordanian DJ and percussionist presents his signature Arabic Techno Sound.
Jordanian DJ and percussionist Shadi Khries is known for his Arabic Techno Sound: a hypnotic blend of electronic techno and Arabic percussion. Since 2013 he’s been developing his sound with the celebrated Paris-based collective Acid Arab and has played renowned venues like Point Ephémère, Le Mellotron and Garage. He presented his debut record ‘King Ghazi’ at the Nuits Sonores festival in 2017 and earlier this year unveiled his biggest project to date: the Wadi Rum Electro Festival, where traditional Bedouin musicians and European DJs shared a stage in the middle of the Jordanian desert. Tonight he’s bringing the fiery heat of the desert to a rooftop near you.
