British kraut-punks dressed as trees. Because.
The post-punks of Snapped Ankles live and work in East London but on stage it sounds like the four of them have been roaming a dark forest for years before – finally! – being let loose on a bunch of electronic gear. On their self-made synths and tribal percussion they create tight tracks that are both refreshing and ancient-sounding. After their first album followed collaborations with performance artists and gigs at all kinds of bizarre venues, from squatted warehouses to fancy barber shops and old arcade halls. They’re bringing their second record ‘Stunning Luxury’ to our rooftop, where they’ll be making a bonfire for us to dance around like forest-dwelling freaks.
