Acid house and rebel vocals fit for punks and ravers worldwide.
Chris Vargas (vocals) and Tobias Rochman's (production) unique blend of acid house, aggressive vocals and committed lyrics catapulted Pelada from the underground rave scene in Montreal to venues around the world in 2014. With synths, samplers, and drum machines, they addressed pressing themes of power, control, and social justice. After touring for 5 years, they signed to the Berlin experimental label PAN and their debut LP Movimiento Para Cambio was immediately included in countless "best of" lists. They have kept touring ever since, whether as a support act for punk-royalty like Iceage of Shame or as a headliner in Berghain. Later this year they will release their long-awaited second album - preview on the rooftop???- to make huge festivals, steaming clubs and dark punk-bunkers dance until the morning light.
